Semester start 2026

The official opening ceremony on campus with speeches and entertainment is Tuesday, August 18th. Those of you who will be attending in Volda on this day will be met by the program coordinator for your study and the buddies who will guide you through the Buddy Week. We look forward to getting to know you better! Welcome as a student in Volda!

Student welfare: A good student life

In Volda Campus you will find various conversation offers, courses in study techniques, as well as advice and help related to mental and physical health. We can also help you with what rights and obligations you have, and guide you in the choices you have to make during your time in Volda.

SiVolda is a service and welfare organisation for all students in Volda, and offers student housing, a cafeteria on campus, Student House Rokken, student kindergarten, health center, student counselors and psychological health services.

Student organisations

VUC has many clubs and organisations ran by students, for students. The offer spans from clubs focusing on sports activities, on impresive nature experiences, concerts, student cafe and festivals, to organisations with a focus on various student media without neccesarily being a media student. Volda has something for everyone's taste.

Get involved in the student community!

The Student Parliament at VUC consists of representatives from the various departments at the University College. The Parliament's Executive Committee handle the daily operations. The student democracy also has representatives at the study program level, as well as student representatives in the University College's councils, committees, and boards.
