Arts in Education Project in Turkey

A group of 36 students and 10 teachers and artists moved to the island of Bozcaada to work and preform with dance, film, sound and images. The Intensive Project address teachers from all of Europe with the objective to use art in education. CNN i Turkey also made a report, talking to students and teachers.

What is art? How does art connect to our life stories and personal experiences?

These topics was discussed and worked upon in different ways during this year’s Arts Intensive Program in Turkey, and the students completed the coursework Arts and Understanding.

An Intensive Program is part of the Erasmus life-long learning program supported by EU. The target group is students and teachers from higher education, and the objectives are to support effective and multinational education in specialized subjects areas, give opportunities for the extraordinary to encourage new perspectives, and to give teachers opportunity to exchange experience and try out new teaching strategies in an international setting.
