Join the international club!
International Club has become a success, according to international coordinator Cecilie Wilhelmsen. The club has so far had two meetings with 50+ participants, and the atmosphere at the latest meeting “hit the ceiling”. The Club invites you to join in every other Friday, and the venue is Rokken.
This coming Friday, October 7 at 7 p.m. we arrange an open house where we will be showing a film, among other things. From Friday 21 until Saturday 22 October we will arrange a trip to the student mountain cabin Blåbu. Later this autumn/winter we plan a “Turkish night”, dancing classes, Christmas party, etc. Just cast your eyes on the bulletin board in Berte Kanutte and posters around campus.

A preliminary board is established which will function until New Year’s. Some of the foreign students are here for only one semester, and therefore you will have the opportunity to join in the board for the next semester. This is a valuable experience and an asset on your cv, according to Cecilie.
International Club at Volda University College is not meant exclusively for foreign students, but just as much to benefit the Norwegians. With as many as 40 different nations on campus there are endless opportunities for learning more about other cultures and making friends for life.
The club’s slogan is “Competence and Friends for Life!”
