Throughout the four-day programme of the International Partner Days 2026, participants met with staff from various departments, learned more about VUC’s educational offerings, and gained insight into international activities at the institution.

The guests were introduced to both the academic and social environment at VUC through campus tours, presentations, and discussions with faculty and administrative staff. They expressed great appreciation for the university’s modern facilities, welcoming atmosphere, and strong commitment to internationalisation. The partner days included a tour of Læringsverkstaden – the digital makers space on campus, as well as, Pangaia – the international hub.

Many of the participants for the International Partner Days represented media schools, so the in-depth tour of the new VUC media building was a highlight for some. The guests were shown the radio- and TV-studios at VUC and were able to get a good idea of how it would be to study media in Volda.

In addition to activities on campus, the visitors were able to experience the unique natural beauty of the region. Surrounded by majestic mountains, fjords, and spectacular landscapes, Volda offered the guests a memorable introduction to Western Norway. Many highlighted the stunning scenery as one of the most impressive aspects of their stay, and several expressed a desire to return to the area in the future.
